The Friends of Dodge County Parks, Inc. recently presented a check in the amount of $39,243 to Dodge County to cover the cost of purchasing new playground equipment at Harnischfeger Park in the Town of Lebanon. The donation was made possible due to a $36,000 commitment from Hartford Savings Bank over a 6 year period. Proceeds from the annual Winterfest event provided the balance of funds. The playground was installed earlier this summer with park staff and volunteers. The new playground includes 2 separate age-appropriate play areas and features a large climbing wall.
Ginny Seaholm, Friends of Dodge County Parks, Inc. Treasurer, presented the check to Dean Becker, Chairman of Dodge County Planning, Development and Parks Committee. Others on hand from left to right are: Allen Behl of the Committee, Tom Jordens, volunteer, David Carpenter, Director of Planning, Development and Parks Department, Bill Ehlenbeck, Parks Manager, and Randy Grebel, Tom Schaefer and Arnold Bashynski of the Planning, Development and Parks Committee.
